No one hit the 20-cent Ultimate 6 wager today, enabling the pool to accumulate to $132,917 entering Sunday’s Tampa Bay Downs racing card, which will feature a forced payout to any and all bettors correctly selecting all six winners from races 4 through 9.
The jackpot is usually distributed any time a single bettor picks all six winners, but that stipulation will be waived Sunday. If nobody picks all six winners, the jackpot will be paid out to anyone picking 5-of-6 (or 4-of-6, if that’s the best result).
The last time the 20-cent Ultimate 6 wager was hit at Tampa Bay Downs was Dec. 30, when a single bettor correctly selected the winners of the day’s last six races to collect $5,612.90.
Track officials estimate that the jackpot could rise to the vicinity of $500,000 by Sunday’s fourth race post time of about 2:15 p.m.
Sunday’s nine-race card begins at 12:35 p.m.
