Tampa Bay Downs will partner with advertising agency Strops Marketing, Inc., of St. Petersburg to handle its accounts, track General Manager Peter Berube has announced.
“We are pleased to begin a relationship with Strops Marketing as we seek to develop a fresh look and expand our reach throughout the Tampa Bay market,” Berube said. “Strops was a valuable partner during our 2013 Golfest event, and we look forward to working closely with Jeff King and his team.”
King, Strops Marketing’s president, said he welcomes the chance to help Tampa Bay Downs increase its visibility.
“We are extremely excited to work with the overall program at the racetrack, and I think what we bring to the table will enhance their business,” King said. “This is a great opportunity for us, and I think we’ll deliver a good brand of creativity and be able to offer some ideas they maybe haven’t thought about.”   
King established Strops Marketing as a full-service agency in 1996. Strops Marketing assisted Tampa Bay Downs during its 2013 Golfest Presented by Tampa Bay Championship event with advertising, banners, ticket design, posters and other collateral materials.
In addition to Tampa Bay Downs, Strops Marketing handles accounts for prominent area golf courses such as Belleair Country Club; Isla Del Sol Yacht and Country Club; Pasadena Yacht & Country Club; and Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club.
Strops Marketing also represents The Tampa Club; Charity Works in Clearwater; Century Golf Partners, which operates clubs and courses under the Arnold Palmer Golf Management Name; and Hodges Greenhouses Inc. in Winter Garden.
