Matt Mitchell is also a PGA Class A Professional, with more than 30 years of teaching experience. Jon Johnson is a PGA Class A Professional with more than 20 years of experience in the golf community. He has been the Manager of The Downs Golf Practice Facility since it opened in March of 2003. Johnson is a former assistant professional at Augusta National in Georgia, site of the Masters, and the Michael Jordan Golf Center in Illinois. He oversees the Tampa Bay Downs' annual Golfest, which the past two years has featured appearances by Annika Sorenstam and David Leadbetter.  For information about instruction from Jon, please click here.

 

Joey DiPompo is the Assistant Teaching Professional at the Matt Mitchell Golf Academy. He graduated from Professional Golfers Career College in 2010 with a degree in Professional Golf Management and has worked under Matt Mitchell for the past two years; he excels in Club Fitting and Club Repair.
