Always one of the Tampa Bay area’s biggest annual sporting events, Festival Day will be Saturday, March 15, 2008.   Tampa Bay Downs’ premiere day of racing features the $300,000 Grade III Tampa Bay Derby, the Grade III $175,000 Hillsborough Stakes, the Grade III $200,000 Florida Oaks and the $75,000 Turf Dash Stakes.  The Grade III Tampa Bay Derby highlights Festival Day’s four-stakes card, and has a long tradition of sending entrants to the Kentucky Derby and other premier 3-year-old stakes.  

This year, Tampa Bay Downs is proud to announce that Festival Day 28 has attracted nominations from such racing luminaries as War Pass, Lear's Princess, Dreaming of Anna, Meribel, and many, many more! Join us on March 15 for a fun-filled Festival Day that includes a PEB poster giveaway, folding chair giveaway to the first 7,500 paid admissions and some of the best racing in North America!

Watch for an early post time of approximately 12:20 PM Festival Day; gates will open at 10:30 AM.
