Cotillion Festival Day

LambholLogo.jpg

Lambholm South presents the second running of Cotillion Festival Day, a day dedicated to two-year-old racing which is highlighted by the $65,000 Inaugural Stakes for two-year-old males and the $65,000 Sandpiper Stakes for two-year-old fillies.  Held on December 26, 2009 at Tampa Bay Downs, the Inaugural Stakes and the Sandpiper Stakes are to be run at six furlongs on the main track. Cotillion Festival Day is the start of a succession of Festival race days that leads to the Grade III $300,000 Tampa Bay Derby and the Grade III $200,000 Florida Oaks to be held on Festival Day, March 13, 2010; all races for three-year-olds will get progressively longer as the horses prepare to run Classic distances.

Cotillion Festival Day also marks Calendar Giveaway Day at Tampa Bay Downs! Patrons will receive a free 2010 calendar complete with all promotional and racing dates for the Oldsmar ova's race meet with paid admission while supplies last.  December 26 also heralds the beginning of Morning Glory for the 2009-2010 Tampa Bay Downs race meet; every Saturday through March 13, 2010, join track announcer Richard Grunder and a special guest at 10:00 AM in the first floor of the Grandstand.  Free coffee and donuts are provided as well as free grandstand admission to the afternoon's races.
